The short version
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting.
- We do not have user accounts or logins.
- The app has no internet access and sends nothing off your device.
- Everything AuraPlay does happens locally on your headset.
What the app accesses, and why
AuraPlay requests a few device permissions purely to provide its features. Data accessed through them is processed only on your device, in real time, and is never recorded or sent anywhere by us.
- Your media files — when you choose a video to play, the app reads that file to display it. It only accesses files you explicitly select; it does not scan, upload, or catalogue your library.
- HDMI / USB capture (SideQuest edition only) — to show a live picture from an external device such as a console or PC, the app receives the signal from a connected USB HDMI capture card. This live signal is displayed in real time and is never recorded or transmitted; it exists only in device memory while you view it. The Meta Horizon Store edition does not include this feature and requests no camera, microphone, or USB-camera permissions.
- Spatial / room features — to place the virtual screen and project reactive lighting onto your walls, the app uses your headset's spatial-anchor and scene data. This stays on the device and is used only to position visuals.

Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or disclose any data, because we do not collect any.
Third-party services
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. If you purchase AuraPlay or an in-app unlock, the payment is handled entirely by the store you buy from (for example the Meta Horizon Store, or Gumroad / itch.io / Ko-fi). Those platforms process your payment under their own privacy policies; AuraPlay never sees or stores your payment details.
Children's privacy
AuraPlay does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
