IN DEVELOPMENT / OCTOBER 2026

A more convincing
cinema experience.

The next chapter is about how a cinema feels—not just how big the screen looks. These features are being developed and tested, not promised as available in the current store release.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Light from the screen.

Movie colour and brightness contributing to nearby cinema surfaces according to the screen’s position, distance and surface direction. The aim is subtle screen illumination, not a coloured wash over the whole room.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Around you. Not inside your head.

Headphone-based virtual 5.1 and 7.1 speakers for compatible multichannel soundtracks, with head-tracked positioning. Playback stability and Quest performance are part of the testing.

ONGOING WORK

Polish without compromise.

Refining cinema visuals and reducing rendering cost while keeping the room’s character. Sustained smooth playback matters more than a spectacular still image.

PLANNED / NOT IMPLEMENTED

The sound of the room.

Exploring restrained reflections and reverberation tailored to each cinema. Room-acoustics simulation is separate from surround positioning and depends on available performance headroom.

Development priorities and scope can change. There are no release dates or guarantees here, and no claims of Dolby Atmos object rendering.
